Frequently Asked Questions
-
What kind of work do you do?
We provide children for work in film, television, theatre, West End shows, radio, adverts, corporate, photographic, background and much more. We are not a model Agency although we do some modelling assignments. -
Will we get any feed back on Auditions?
Because of the sheer volume of auditions, we do not tend to give feedback, nor, infact do we ourselves receive it. This is just too busy an industry and casting directors give feedback only when a child has been successful. -
Why hasn't my child had anything?
Often it can be a matter of waiting for a job to come in. We react to very specific breakdowns and submit students as much as we can for jobs that are right for them. If the casting directors do not decide to pick them then it is unprofessional to go back to them. The agency has never guaranteed work, as this is a realistic and honest approach to a highly competitive industry -
What ages of children do you take on?
We represent from the ages of 4-20 -
How do we get paid for the work we have done?
Once we have received payment we will email you asking you for your bank details and from here we will pay directly via BACS into your account -
How long do we have to wait for payment?
As soon as we get paid and the money has cleared we pay out by BACS every week. Typically payments take 4-6 weeks -
How do we go about joining the agency?
Please follow the links on the home page regarding joining. We hold audition workshops each year between March and June. -
How do we know if our child gets an audition after a submission? That they have seen on their submission reports!
Where possible we call you up but when we have busy periods the individual submissions page acts as a directly record updated daily. We make every attempt to call you and contact you when your child gets an audition. -
What does ‘sole representation’ mean?
The Stagecoach Agency is a Sole Agency. This means that during your year with us you cannot be signed to another Agency. We do occasionally by mutual agreement make the concession to model agencies and for just modelling assignments. To leave the agency you must give three months notice in writing. -
What happens after attending an audition?
After attending an audition we will only contact you if you are successful. We are generally only informed if our clients are lucky and rarely get given feedback. Where possible we will pass on any comments. -
Do we have to apply for a license each time we are booked for a job?
Please see our section on Licences. There are some exceptions but generally speaking you will need to get a licence for each professional/paid assignment. -
What commission do you take?
We take 20% plus vat commission for paid work. We take 12% plus VAT for any chaperone assignments.
